Brighten Your Smile

Acidic foods & years of exposure to coffee, tea & tobacco can slowly wear away the white enamel of your teeth & expose the darker-colored dentin underneath. As a result, your white smile can start to look yellow & dingy. As the enamel wears away, you may also notice an increase in tooth sensitivity. Certain foods, such as berries & soy sauce, can also attract food particles to the surface of your teeth that can leave them discolored. In many cases, the superficial stains caused by these external factors can be removed with brushing, flossing & rinsing. Tooth discoloration can also be caused by traumatic injuries, medications & excessive fluoride, which cannot be remedied as easily.

Beware of Over-the-Counter Teeth Whiteners

A wide variety of teeth whitening products are available over-the-counter. These products are moderately effective in removing mild surface stains when used as directed, but they do have their drawbacks. Whitening toothpastes typically contain abrasive materials that can wear away tooth enamel, which can make your teeth more prone to staining & sensitivity. Over-the-counter bleaching solutions are not very effective in treating gray or brown stains. Most of these solutions also do not work well on highly discolored or unhealthy teeth, pitted teeth & tooth-colored restorations.

The safest & most effective way to restore your pearly white smile is with professional teeth whitening. We use the leading teeth whitening products & procedures that can produce results that can last as long as five years.
